What does it for you?

What does it for you?

Postby Nymphaea » Sun Mar 07, 2010 5:43 pm

I'm curious, being a scriptwriter, what best gets you under, what you would like to hear more of, etc.

I'm not talking fetishes, or specific fantasies. I'm talking about styles and techniques. Does repetition work well with you, lots of metaphors, confusion(jumping between totally different subjects), or just plain relaxation? Maybe specific words. Anything that could help. Elena has been doing this much longer than me, and could always adjust the scripts to her liking, but as the description of this board says, I'm hoping for things that could help us serve you better.

Another question, as its something I like to do, would you rather lots of detail, and very visual, or very little, so that you can come up with more yourself? I personally try to be very visual and descriptive, but I know that doesn't work the best with everyone.

Well, hopefully some good answers come from this, back to catching up on my scriptwriting >.<

Unless I'm experienced with that particular induction, I sometimes have trouble with vizualisation inductions. Subtle confusion works best for me, and fractionation does a great job of deepening.

A little bit of interactivity seems to help too. I have a couple of sessions in my library that use an arm-lift, and then drop style of induction that seems to work well. Most days though, if it's one of Elena's sessions, I whach the NN trigger file in front of it and it's lights out. I do love Tasha's Falling induction, but I feel it's the numbers ["twice as deep", "100 times deeper"] rather than the descriptions of the stars themselves falling that pulls the rug from under me.

Well, I hope that's the kind of information you were after and I didn't ramble on too much. I have a public holiday here today, so I don't have to go to work, and it's wet and rainy. Perfect excuse to stay inside and do not much. Yay! *Snoopydance*

for me it is at least to start out with is using same trigger to go under but like in elena's case after listening to siren file i go under pretty quickly with just her voice now but in tasha's case she gets me under with relaxation just by following her voice. i am newbie to all of this and only have their files to go by. but that is what works for me. right now. so i would have to say repetition and relaxation. i have not had confusion yet but sounds interesting also that one where you take the person in and out of trance(like in elena's file where she has you open and close eyes on certain numbers i like that one a lot) hopes this helps and doesn't confuse you more

Confusion is usually what puts me under. I suppose it's probably because I'm a very rational person normally, and so getting that part of my head disengaged just sort of leaves me sinking like a rock.

For me, description can be a sort of double-edged sword. It works well for things like places or situations, but for particular, say, people, I find it more distracting than anything. Not quite sure why, really, I just do.

In terms of going under I really don't have any preference toward confusion or order, but I have noticed that surprise triggers work very well for me. I can't remember exactly which files they are, but they just drop a trigger (generally night-night) in the middle of another sentence or train of thought. I always thought that it worked really well, and being able to actually feel the effects of the trigger out of nowhere has always been an interesting experience.

As for descriptions, I find that less in terms of scenery and visuals is better, but that very detailed tactile descriptions are always nice.

Hope this helps, and thanks for writing for us :).

Couldn't have said it better.
Exactly the same goes for me :D

Surprise triggers also seem to work very well for me...
whereas I have quite some problems with visual descriptions. If it's a staircase or something of comparable simplicity it works fine, but as soon as it gets too descriptive it gets difficult for me ;)

Hope this helps ^^

I wasn't able to go under very deep even with Elena's beautiful voice, but just recently I found something that really seems to work.

Download Audacity. Create a binaural tone centered around a 136 Hz sine wave, 132.19 Hz left, 140.02 right, yielding 7.83 Hz. These are supposedly some sort of magic voodoo, Earth-based frequencies and I was a scoffer, but they do seem to work while straight induction is only moderately successful. This will help your brain to get down into the alpha frequencies where it is susceptible to suggestion.

Either play the hypnosis files in media player and play the tones in Audacity at the same time, or create new files combining the hypnosis files and the tones. To do it right you'd create a new file with five to 10 minutes of lead in tone.

I find that a pretty loud tone (maybe half as loud as the file) played with the hypnosis drives me deep enough that I sometimes end up with drool on my shirt. (I usually have to listen in a chair, which is probably one reason I have trouble going very deep.) Night Night Trigger followed by whatever.

I like that Elena's files don't have a binaural beat embedded in them already as this allows you to experiment and find a frequency that works for you. You can find more info here and at Wikipedia.

I'm still not getting lasting effects after the trance though. Some behavior/urge-based stuff sticks a little but perception alterations don't. And transformation files don't seem to work for me at all, but maybe it's because I have no desire to grow fur.

I tried Audacity, and it turns out I can't edit my way out of a paper bag, so that's a no-go too. :(

I found some intersting infos here and actually downloadet an mp3 from this site which seems to have some effect... Maybe it's of any help to you, too...
http://www.jetcityorange.com/meditation/binaural-beats.html

This is an open source application which generates binaural beats, dunno if there is a windows version but probably there is.
